lesson or an idea from the Odyssey

I think an idea or message that can be taken away from the Odyssey, is that you should never give up and don't let anything get in the way of what your trying to accomplish. Odysseus never let the cyclops or calypso or any of the other obstacles that came in his way stop him from getting home to his wife and son. A way that we can use that method today is for example. Lets say i have a very hard English exam in two day I think I know it a hundred percent, and i really want to get a good grade. Even if I think I know the material I should still keep studying until it's test time.

Class expectations

I think our class expectations for trimester one were to try to get as far as we can in the Odyssey, and to learn more vocabulary words and make our vocab stronger for the SAT. I think our class over all under stood the Odyssey and I even think it is interesting to see how people wrote back then. I also think the vocabulary helped the class a lot and expanded our vocabulary.

If I was Telemachus

If I was Telemachus and if some person I have never seen before came up to me and told me he was my father, i wouldn't believe either. I would think he is just some crazy guy telling me he is my father so he can meet my mom. On the other hand I would want to believe that this stranger was my father but i still wouldn't trust him. If i was Telemachus I would make this stranger prove to me in more than one way that he is my father. If he did prove to be my father I would also help him to meet my mom as Telemachus did.
